DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Feb 28 (SMM) – On February 28, the price of high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 9,200-9,300 yuan/mt (Cr 50%), unchanged from yesterday.
The pessimism of the chrome market has improved due to bid solicitation by stainless steel mills. While inquiries have increased, actual transactions are still sluggish.
Producers raised their quotes but downstream acceptance of high-priced goods is still weak.
Coke prices have been risen amid higher costs, providing support for ferrochrome prices. It is expected that the price of ferrochrome may remain stable in the short-term.
