The prices of SiMn alloy 6517 stood at 7,350-7,450 yuan/mt in cash in north China, up 75 yuan/mt; and were 7,350-7,400 yuan/mt in south China, flat from a day ago.

SHANGHAI, Jan 31 (SMM) - The prices of SiMn alloy 6517 stood at 7,350-7,450 yuan/mt in cash in north China, up 75 yuan/mt; and were 7,350-7,400 yuan/mt in south China, flat from a day ago. According to SMM research, the operating rates of manufacturers in north China were stable, and the spot prices rose slightly on a bullish macro front and rising manganese ore prices. In south China, some small manufacturers in Guangxi have not yet resumed the production, while the power rationing remained in place in Guizhou. And there were few quotations heard in the market. On the whole, the overall market transactions were muted, and the manufacturers held firm to the prices.
