Teck’s Copper Output in FY 2022 Missed Guidance, But to Increase in FY 2023

SHANGHAI, Jan 31 — Teck Resources Limited (TECK.US) reported on Monday that the company produced 270,500 mt of copper in fiscal year 2022, which was below the guidance of 273,000-290,000 mt, mainly due to the closure of highland valley copper mine in Canada in December 2022.

The mine was temporarily closed due to an engineering accident which has now stabilised. Teck Resources forecasts its copper output in fiscal year 2023 will stand at 390,000-445,000 mt.
