China’s Primary Aluminium Imports Fell 58% YoY in 2022

SHANGHAI, Jan 28 (SMM) - According to the data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, China's import volume of primary aluminium in December 2022 was about 127,646 mt, of which the import volume under HS code 76011010 was 47.994 mt and that under HS tariff code 76011090 was 127,598 mt.

SHANGHAI, Jan 28 (SMM) - According to the data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, China's import volume of primary aluminium in December 2022 was about 127,646 mt, of which the import volume under HS code 76011010 was 47.994 mt and that under HS tariff code 76011090 was 127,598 mt. In December 2022, the import volume of primary aluminium rose by 15.3% month-on-month and 55.2% year-on-year.

In 2022, the cumulative imports of primary aluminium were 668,000 mt, a year-on-year decrease of 58%.

China's Auto Sales Drop 5.1% in August, NEV Sales Surge 17.8% YoY, Exports Up 65.3%
CAAM data shows that in August, China's auto sales were 2.712 million units, down 5.1% YoY. Among them, NEV performance was impressive, with sales reaching 1.643 million units, up 17.8% YoY, accounting for 60.6% of total new vehicle sales. In terms of exports, auto exports in August were 1.01 million units, up 65.3% YoY; NEV exports were 526,000 units, up 1.3x YoY.
