China Iron and Steel Association: Daily Steel Output at Key Steel Mills Stood at 1.92 million mt in Late December, Down 2.44% MoM

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) reported that the crude steel, pig iron and steel output across major steel mills in China totalled 21.08 million mt, 19.44 million mt and 21.77 million mt, respectively in mid-December. The average daily output of crude steel in this period was 1.92 million mt, a decrease of 2.44% from the previous 10 days. The average daily output of pig iron was 1.77 million mt, a decrease of 0.31% from the previous 10 days. The daily average output of steel products increased 3.30% to 1.98 million mt. The steel inventory at key steel mills was 13.06 million mt, down 2.94 million mt or 18.35% over the previous ten days.
