The Profits of Nickel Salt were Limited due to the High Costs

SHANGHAI, Jan 3 (SMM) - In terms of profits, due to the high prices of nickel, almost all production lines based on nickel briquette changed to use intermediate products and scrap. Although nickel sulphate manufacturers stabilised the profits by calculating the costs based on nickel sulphate prices less processing fees, the profit margin was further reduced due to the decline in the nickel sulphate prices. Meanwhile, the cost pressure of some nickel salt enterprises was heavy as the high-priced raw material inventory was still high. As such, the profits were still not good. However, the downstream ternary precursor enterprises lowered their purchasing prices amid the poor demand. Therefore, the market was in a stalemate.
