In September 2022, China produced 86.95 million mt of crude steel, up 17.60% year-on-year (YoY), the daily output was 2.90 million mt, up 7.13% month-on-month (MoM); the output of pig iron was 73.94 million mt, up 13.0% YoY, and the daily output was 2.46 million mt, up 7.05% MoM; steel output stood at 116.19 million mt, up 12.50% YoY, daily output was 3.87 million mt, up 10.83% MoM. From January to September, China produced 781 million mt of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 3.40%, with a cumulative daily output of 2,860,200 mt; the output of pig iron was 656 million mt, down 2.50% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2,403,300 mt; the output of steel was 1.006 billion mt, down 2.20% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 3.68 million mt.
In September 2022, the output of crude steel from major steel enterprises in the survey sample totalled 67.84 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 12.54%, the daily output was 2.26 million mt, a month-on-month increase of 6.17%; the output of pig iron was 61.61 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 10.95%, the daily output was 2.05 million mt, a month-on-month increase of 5.29%; the output of steel was 67.41 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 12.18%, and the daily output was 2.25 million mt, a month-on-month increase of 8.15%. From January to September, the key sample steel enterprises produced a total of 616 million mt of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 3.69%, and the daily output was 2,257,300 mt; the cumulative output of pig iron was 550 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 1.88%, and the daily output was 2,014,600 mt. The output of steel was 601 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 2.62%, and the daily output was 2.20 million mt.
