Qinghai Dominated China’s LFP Exports

SHANGHAI, Sep 9 (SMM) - Since the start of this year, Qinghai’s salt lake chemical exports have been expanding steadily.

Statistics show that from January to July this year, the export value of salt lake chemical products in Qinghai Province was 303 million yuan, up 182.9% year-on-year.

In terms of product structure, the export products of Qinghai have been upgraded from low value-added products such as calcium chloride and magnesium chloride, whose prices were less than 1,000 yuan/mt, to lithium iron phosphate, whose prices were over 100,000 yuan/mt and lithium metal, whose prices were more than 1 million yuan/mt.

In addition, by relying on the advantages of lithium resources in salt lake, Qinghai Province's export of lithium iron phosphate has gradually occupied the leading position in China. Statistics show that in the first seven months of this year, Qinghai province's total export of lithium iron phosphate accounted for 53.4% of the national total.
