China Nickel Ore Imports Rise Fractionally MoM in Jul, the Lowest in Five Years

The imports posted limited gains amid poor demand in China when the market performance was lacklustre.

SHANGHAI, Aug 22 - According to the online platform of General Administration of Customs, China nickel ore imports stood at 4.37 million mt in July, rising MoM for two months in a row, but was the lowest in the same period in the past few years.

Among them, the imports from the Philippines rose 8.46% MoM, but fell nearly 20% YoY; the imports from Indonesia and New Caledonia fell. The imports posted limited gains amid poor demand in China when the market was lacklustre.
