SHANGHAI, August 8 (SMM) - The discounts of secondary refined lead over SMM 1# lead ingots narrowed slightly by 50 yuan/mt from 300-250 yuan/mt to 250-200 yuan/mt. The discounts narrowed mainly because the prices of SMM 1# lead ingots dropped slightly amid the slight decline in SHFE 2209 lead contract. However, the absolute price of secondary refined lead changed little. The average price of SMM secondary refined lead fluctuated within the range of 50 yuan/mt. Most secondary refined lead smelters shipped stably, and the shipment was mainly in the form of long-term orders. Therefore, the retail transactions were poor.
