SMM Exclusive: 12 Blast Furnaces Successfully Resume the Production since July 15

According to SMM statistics, a total of 74 blast furnaces were under maintenance as of July 26, engaging a total volume of 88,480 m³ and pig iron production of 280,000 mt/day, which dropped 1,000 mt/day from July 25.

SHANGHAI, Jul 27 (SMM) – According to SMM statistics, a total of 74 blast furnaces were under maintenance as of July 26, engaging a total volume of 88,480 m³ and pig iron production of 280,000 mt/day, which dropped 1,000 mt/day from July 25.

A total of 12 blast furnaces successfully resumed the production since July 15, with a combined pig iron production of 58,000 mt/day. SMM will keep monitoring the blast furnace operating rates as a number of steel mills have not yet disclosed their production resumption plans.
