The Rare Earth Industry was Stable while the Transactions were Modest

In terms of light rare earth, the PrNd market was stable today. The upstream and downstream of rare earth industry saw little change and the cost ans supply provided certain support for the market amid the poor demand. The price of PrNd products but the overall market transaction was poor. In terms of medium and heavy rare earth, the prices of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide declined slightly while the downstream procurement willingness was low and mostly purchased as needed amid the wait-and-see sentiment.

SHANGHAI, June 14 (SMM)- In terms of light rare earth, the PrNd market was stable today. The upstream and downstream of rare earth industry saw little change and the cost ans supply provided certain support for the market amid the poor demand. The price of PrNd products but the overall market transaction was poor. In terms of medium and heavy rare earth, the prices of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide declined slightly while the downstream procurement willingness was low and mostly purchased as needed amid the wait-and-see sentiment. The mainstream transaction prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide market stabled at 960,000-965,000 yuan/mt today, and the mainstream transaction prices of praseodymium-neodymium alloy market stabled at 1.16-1.17 million yuan/mt. The mainstream transaction prices of dysprosium oxide stabilized at 2.52-2.56 million yuan/mt today, the mainstream quotation of dysprosium metal stood at 3.45-3.5 million yuan/mt, and the mainstream transaction prices of DyFe stood at 2.52-2.56 million yuan/mt today. The mainstream transaction prices of terbium oxide was 14.4-14.5 million yuan/mt today, and the mainstream transaction prices of terbium metal stabled at 18.4-18.5 million yuan/mt today. The mainstream transaction prices of gadolinium oxide stood at 550,000-560,000 yuan/mt, and the mainstream transaction prices of GdFe were 510,000-520,000 yuan/mt,.

Rare earth developer Critical Metals Corp. (Critical Metals) approved $30 million in funding to accelerate development of its Tanbreez rare earth project in Greenland. Tanbreez is one of the world’s largest known rare earth deposits. The company said the funding would be used to advance drilling, infrastructure, engineering design, and mineral processing and metallurgical testing required for production.
