[Lanxiao Technology plans to jointly develop Salta Salt Lake Battery Lithium Carbonate Project in Argentina with PepinNini] Lanxiao Technology (300487.SZ) announced that the company and PepinNini Minerals Limited signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on April 4, 2022. Based on the company's DLE (Directly Lithium Extraction) technology for lithium extraction from salt lake brine, Lanxiao Technology and PNN will establish a long-term partnership to jointly develop a battery-grade lithium carbonate project in Salta Salt Lake, Argentina.

300487.SZ announced that the company and PepinNini Minerals Limited ("PepinNini" or "PNN") signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on April 4, 2022. Based on the company's DLE (Directly Lithium Extraction) technology for lithium extraction from salt lake brine, Lanxiao Technology and PNN will establish a long-term partnership to jointly develop a battery-grade lithium carbonate project in Salta Salt Lake, Argentina.

The announcement said that the signing of this memorandum expands the direct cooperation project between the company's adsorption lithium extraction technology and foreign customers in the field of overseas high-quality brine resources, which will help the company to establish a long-term and stable partnership with international mineral resources development companies. The company's adsorption brine direct extraction battery-grade lithium carbonate DLE technology meets the requirements of international customers for ESG, meets the sustainable development of environment-friendly and high-quality salt lake lithium extraction industry, and provides salt lake lithium extraction technology and project construction directly to international end customers, which is conducive to the expansion and further cultivation of the company's global industry chain of lithium resources.

[SMM Daily Review: Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Continued to Fall on May 19] Today, SMM battery-grade spot lithium carbonate prices fluctuated downward compared to the previous working day. Futures side, the lithium carbonate 2609 contract opened high at 191,000 yuan/mt today, then quickly pulled back after the opening. Overall, inquiries and actual transactions in the spot market were active. Lithium prices are expected to have limited downside in the short term and are expected to hover at highs.
