






In 2020, Shanxi Jianlong began to carry out the full oxygen combustion transformation test of the ladle dryer. According to the test results at that time, it is estimated that after the completion of the ladle transformation, the company can save more than 15.4 million m ³of gas and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 15000 tons per year.
So how are the above goals going? Recently, it was reported that the last ladle oxygen roaster in Jianlong, Shanxi Province, was successfully ignited and put into use. Since then, all 8 ladle ovens in the company have achieved full oxygen combustion. It marks the completion of the full oxygen combustion technical transformation of the ladle dryer in Jianlong, Shanxi, which is expected to save 25.23 million m of gas and reduce CO emissions by 32920 tons per year.
Shanxi Jianlong ladle full oxygen roaster is different from the ladle roaster in most domestic steel mills at present, instead of using conventional sleeve burners, a new type of pure oxygen burner is installed, and new supporting equipment such as flame monitoring and oxygen valve group are installed. The cover is also reformed by thermal insulation technology, and a full-fiber heat-resistant module with low thermal conductivity is installed.
Shanxi Jianlong ladle all-oxygen roaster through full oxygen combustion, subtracts 79% of the useless N in the combustion-supporting air, greatly reduces the amount of flue gas after combustion (more than 50%), increases the theoretical combustion temperature and heat flux density, and greatly reduces the heat loss of exhaust fume. The comprehensive thermal efficiency has been significantly improved, and the heating capacity of the all-oxygen roaster has been significantly improved. The baking time is shortened, the number of ovens is reduced (reduced by 50%), the baking temperature is greatly increased (from 900C to 1100 DEG C), the gas consumption is reduced from 48087m ³/ unit to 11150m ³/ unit, and the oxygen is increased by 3266m ³/ unit. The gas consumption after conversion of oxygen into gas is reduced to 16539m ³/ unit.
At the same time, the full intelligent combustion control system, automatic ignition, continuous temperature curve control, thermal insulation and constant temperature control and adjustable flame length are applied in Shanxi Jianlong ladle oxygen roaster. Meet the flame heating quality requirements under different flow rates, such as flame monitoring, gas low pressure, oxygen-fuel ratio exceeding limit, temperature exceeding limit, gas leakage and so on, to ensure safe use, simple system composition, operation and maintenance, and reduce flue gas emissions by more than 50%. When the ladle is baked, the edge of the ladle does not catch fire, and the environment of the workshop is obviously improved. According to the production process requirements of ladle resistant material characteristics, overhaul package and small repair package, a variety of baking curves are preset in the program. the operator only needs to select the appropriate baking curve to achieve safe and efficient one-click baking, which improves the production efficiency and reduces the labor intensity of the workers. The successful application of oxygen combustion technology of Shanxi Jianlong ladle dryer not only plays a leading and exemplary role for enterprises in energy saving and emission reduction, but also brings a "bumper harvest" of social and economic benefits, which helps enterprises to carry out low-carbon development and empower enterprises.
