SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM)- As of March 18, SMM total pure nickel inventory across six regions stood at 13,169 mt, down 15 mt from the previous week. The inventory of nickel briquette stood at 1,406 mt, down 800 mt from the previous week. The inventory of nickel plates was 10,978 mt, an increase of 785 tons from the previous week. The reason for the decrease of nickel briquette inventory was that the inventory of downstream manufacturers was reduced, and they had fixed the transaction prices at last week’s and started to pick up goods. The increase of nickel plate inventory was mainly due to the uncertainty of prices and weak spot transactions aroused by high prices.
