[ao Fei data: five big data centers will complete the delivery of distributed photovoltaic projects next year.] 300738.SZ insiders said that the five major data center projects under construction are expected to be completed and delivered in batches between 2022 and 2023, and the company will still focus on the layout of computing hub nodes in eastern countries, while keeping a close eye on the development of data centers in the western region.

The project of "calculating the number of the East and the West" has been officially launched, and the listed companies related to the data center have attracted much attention from the market recently. Insiders of 300738.SZ, the leading third-party data center in South China, said in a survey by a reporter from the Financial Associated Press that the five major data center projects under construction are expected to be completed and delivered in batches between 2022 and 2023, and the company will still focus on the layout of computing hub nodes in the eastern countries, while paying close attention to the development of data centers in the western region.

It is worth noting that Ofei data is actively promoting carbon neutralization and new energy strategy regulations, using self-built data centers as a pilot to expand photovoltaic, energy storage, energy saving and other businesses, and its holding subsidiary Ofei New Energy distributed photovoltaic power generation project has signed a total installed capacity close to 100MW.

Some people in the industry pointed out that the relevant policies require the national hub node computing cluster PUE below 1.25, PUE super 1.5 need to be forced to transform and upgrade, the "East and West calculation" project has strong restrictions on energy consumption indicators such as PUE, and manufacturers with strong comprehensive strength are expected to fully seize the market opportunity.

Still focus on the node layout of the eastern computing hub

On February 17, the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued documents agreeing to start the construction of national computing hub nodes in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Chengdu and Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu and Ningxia, and to further plan the establishment of 10 national data center clusters within the computing hub to undertake the construction of large / super-large data centers.

Aofei data said, "at present, the company's strategic layout is still mainly in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Delta and other regions, but it will also pay close attention to the development of data centers in the western region." in the western national computing hub node to seek suitable data center layout opportunities, but will be actual demand-oriented, taking into account the development of new markets and business landing certainty.

"at present, the company's customer structure is mainly Internet enterprises, so in order to facilitate customers' business development and timely processing of hot data, the company will still focus on the layout of computing hub nodes in eastern countries." the person further pointed out to reporters the logic behind its business layout. "East and West arithmetic will orderly guide storage, backup, data analysis and other cold data to the western computing hub for processing." To ease the pressure on the already tight land and power resources in the east; On the other hand, the hot data generated by financial and Internet enterprises have the characteristic of low delay, and this part of the data is still processed on the eastern computing hub node. According to the different characteristics of the data, it will be effectively guided to the computing hub in different regions of our country for processing, which will meet the growing demand for computing power.

Currently, the five major data center projects under construction of Ofei data are located in Gu'an in Langfang and Wuqing in Tianjin, Guangzhou Nansha in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Nanchang in Jiangxi in the central region, and Kunming in Yunnan in the western region. "the above five major projects are expected to be completed and delivered in batches between 2022 and 2023, and when completed, they will provide a resource supply of more than 50000 cabinets," the company told reporters.

Ofei data currently continues to speed up the layout of IDC business. In 2021, the company successively signed a computer room cooperation agreement with Aliyun on the resource locking of data centers in South China and reached an intention with Baidu; acquired a 60% stake in Tianjin Pangu Yuntai with 187 million yuan, and obtained the approval of the data center project of 12000 high-power cabinets in Wuqing, Tianjin. The first phase of Ofei data New Generation Cloud Computing and big data Industrial Park in Kunming has been capped a few days ago, and civil construction is expected to be delivered by the end of April this year and put into production by the end of June, with more than 8000 cabinets when it is put into production.

In addition, Ofei data also raised 635 million yuan through convertible bonds, mainly for the new generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence industrial park (Building A) project, that is, investing 573 million yuan in Langfang Gu'an to build a new generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence industrial park.

As one of the leading third-party IDC operators in China, Ofei data has 10 self-built IDC computer rooms with 16000 cabinets available by the end of March 2021, providing customers with basic IDC services such as cabinet leasing and bandwidth leasing.

The installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic contract is close to 100MW.

In mid-2021, Ofei data formulated a strategic plan for carbon neutralization and new energy, and all self-built data centers, such as Guangzhou Golden hair data Center and Langfang Xunyun data Center, received carbon neutralization certification. The reporter learned that at present, its holding subsidiary Ofei New Energy has signed 37 distributed photovoltaic power generation projects across the country, with a total installed capacity close to 100MW.

Minsheng Securities Research Daily once commented on it, "under the dual-carbon background, the policy of double control of energy consumption continues to advance, and the industry is facing reshuffling and restructuring. Ofei data will rely on operation and maintenance capabilities, energy management and control capabilities and core IDC resource endowment Hengqiang."

Public data show that the electricity consumption of data centers has accounted for more than 2% of the electricity consumption of the whole society for many years in a row, and the green and low-carbon development of data centers is undoubtedly the trend of the times. Recently, Zhang Tian, an analyst in the communications industry of Huaan Securities, publicly pointed out: "the policy requires the national hub node computing cluster PUE to reach below 1.25,1.5 PUE needs to be forcibly upgraded. With the arrival of the East and West, the enforcement efforts of local governments may be strengthened. for example, Shanghai has carried out the IDC touch arrangement of more than 100 racks, and we expect that 20% of the stock racks may face transformation; the domestic average PUE in 2021 is 1.49, and the average in South and Central China is close to 1.6, so the demand for transformation is huge. "

In view of the strong limitations of the "East-West calculation" project on energy consumption indicators such as PUE, Aofei data insiders believe that "PUE is the main index for evaluating the energy efficiency of data centers. At present, China still takes fossil energy as the main energy consumption object, and it is inevitable to limit energy consumption in order to achieve the double-carbon goal."

The company told the Financial Associated Press, "IDC enterprises can only reduce data center carbon emissions as much as possible on the basis of increasing investment in research and development and making use of technological innovation." Photovoltaic buildings, the use of green electricity, the use of liquid cooling and other advanced temperature control equipment and low energy consumption and efficient refrigeration equipment are all ways to reduce energy consumption in the future, especially green power will become the main means. At present, the price of green electricity is still relatively high, which has a great impact on the operating costs of enterprises. I believe that with the promotion of strong state support for the use of green electricity, the situation will improve. "

[SMM Chromium Flash] Chrome Ore Outshines Broader SA Mining Sector on Sales Value in June, Stats SA Shows
South Africa's mining production fell 4% year-on-year in June 2026, according to Statistics South Africa, with platinum group metals (PGMs) the largest drag, down 8.4% YoY and subtracting 2.4 percentage points from the headline figure. Coal production declined 6.6% (-1.7pp) and iron-ore output fell 10.2% (-1.5pp). On a seasonally adjusted basis, production edged up 0.3% month-on-month in June, following a 5.2% drop in May and a 3% gain in April, leaving second-quarter production down 2.7% quarter-on-quarter. Against that backdrop, chromium ore stood out on the sales side of the report. Mineral sales at current prices rose 27.2% YoY in June, and chromium ore was the third-largest positive contributor, with sales value up 49% YoY, adding 3.7 percentage points to the headline gain. Only gold (+125.7% YoY, contributing 17.1pp) and PGMs (+27% YoY, contributing 7.3pp) contributed more. Iron-ore sales value fell 16.1% YoY (-1.7pp) and other non-metallic minerals dropped 35.5% (-1.3pp), the only negative contributors in the sales breakdown. The divergence is worth noting precisely: Stats SA's report does not break out chromium ore within its production-volume figures for June, meaning the sector's standout performance this month is a sales-value story rather than a confirmed rise in physical output. Combined with firmer chrome ore and ferrochrome pricing through H1 2026, the data points to a chrome segment that continues to generate disproportionate revenue for South Africa's mining sector even as broader production volumes soften, reinforcing chrome's role as a relative bright spot within an otherwise contracting mining base.
