[Indonesia aims to increase ferronickel production by 5.7 per cent in 2022] Indonesia aims to increase ferronickel production to 1.67 million tons in 2022 from 1.58 million tons in 2021, according to data released by Indonesia's Ministry of Energy on Thursday. Indonesia aims to produce 831000 tons of nickel pig iron in 2022 and 799600 tons in 2021.

Production of nickel matte is expected to increase to 83900 tons in 2022 from 82300 tons the previous year.

Production of electrolytic copper is expected to increase from 289500 tons in 2021 to 291000 tons.

Indonesia aims to produce 70, 000 tons of refined tin in 2022, up from 34500 tons in 2021.
