On January 6, Honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai Jiading District State-owned assets Management (Group) Co., Ltd., announcing the formal establishment of Honeycomb Energy Shanghai R & D Center, registered as Dr. Octopus Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The center is positioned to provide R & D support for BMS software and hardware, industrial software, controller hardware of intelligent equipment, AI algorithm, integrated design of lighthouse factory, etc., and to be the core system supplier of intelligent control and intelligent manufacturing for new energy vehicles, new energy components, electronic information industry. And as a venture capital platform, to provide start-up projects with interest-free loans, equipment financial leasing, rent-free office space and financial products and other service functions, to help the core R & D technology into business results.

Li Feng, deputy mayor of Jiading District, Cai Yan, deputy director of Jiading District Investment Promotion Center, Yang Hongxin, chairman and CEO of Honeycomb Energy, Yan Ling, party committee secretary and chairman of Shanghai Jiading State assets Group, Fan Zhu, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager of Jiading State assets Group, and other leaders of both sides attended the signing event.

Yang Hongxin said that as an energy-connected high-tech company with innovation as its gene, Honeycomb Energy has always focused on technology research and development. The Shanghai R & D Center is an important part of the global R & D layout of Honeycomb Energy, improving the quality and efficiency of technological innovation of Honeycomb Energy, improving the scientific and technological content and quality of existing products, expanding the global R & D layout, and enhancing the competitiveness of the industry. it is of far-reaching significance to achieve the goal of subversive innovation and development of enterprises.

It is understood that the Shanghai R & D Center is located in Jiakang Park, Science and Technology Innovation Center, Jiading District, Shanghai. Jiakang Park covers an area of about 51.88 mu and has many service functions such as operation and management, industrial supporting and finance. According to the person in charge of the center, the Shanghai R & D Center will undertake the strategic division of labor in the construction of Honeycomb AI intelligent factory, providing innovative technology support, including AI intelligent vision, AI intelligent analysis, AI intelligent simulation, etc., and at the same time forcefully create industrial Internet platforms and industrial software for the energy interconnection industry. In addition, the Shanghai R & D Center will also build a vehicle-end BMS battery management system, through high-safety, high-precision, high-reliability, high-intelligence design to ensure the safe operation of the battery, extend battery life, accurate early warning, empower the new energy industry, its BMS products SOX accuracy will reach the industry and even the world's leading level; Strive to be among the world's leading technologies in AI intelligent analysis components and algorithm packages, machine vision intelligent inspection devices, cloud intelligent diagnosis and analysis tools, complex production line equipment virtual simulation debugging, equipment remote online upgrade (FOTA), industry-oriented large-scale 5G + collaborative manufacturing, battery product life cycle traceability based on block chain technology, etc.

It is reported that the Shanghai R & D Center of Honeycomb Energy will gradually expand its R & D team through "recruitment + recruitment", carry out activities such as recruitment of scientists and overseas campus recruitment through global channels, and create a team of professionals for the Shanghai R & D Center. It is planned that there will be more than 500 experts of various types by 2025.

Honeycomb Energy, as a cutting-edge representative of the domestic lithium industry, has carried out a global R & D layout since its establishment in 2018, including Baoding, Wuxi, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Japan, South Korea, India, Germany and other domestic and foreign R & D centers, covering advanced materials, advanced technology, advanced technology, BMS system and other fields. At present, R & D centers in Baoding, Wuxi, Shenzhen, South Korea and India have been put into use, and R & D centers in Shanghai, Europe and Japan are being built in an orderly manner. With the official release of the "600" strategy in December 2021, honeycomb energy is accelerating the landing of the global strategic layout.

Core Lithium Resumes Spodumene Production at Finniss, Boosting Capacity by 20% After Two-Year Break
On September 8th, Core Lithium has produced first spodumene concentrate from the recommissioned Finniss processing plant in the Northern Territory, marking a milestone in the company's staged restart of the operation. Core Lithium restarted mining at the Grants openpit in May and recommissioned the crushing circuit in August to build sufficient crushed ore stockpiles for processing. First concentrate was achieved within six months of the company's final investment decision to proceed with the Finniss restart. The company has undertaken targeted upgrades to debottleneck the processing circuit and optimise recoveries, including screen refurbishments, rolls crusher enhancements and improvements to the ferrosilicon distribution system. Crushing and dense media separation operations have been consolidated into a single control room. These upgrades are expected to increase plant throughput capacity by about 20% to 1.2 million t/y. Finniss began initial spodumene concentrate production in February 2023 before being placed on care and maintenance in mid-2024 amid a downturn in lithium prices. The project has since been repositioned as a lower-cost, long-life operation with a 20-year mine life and average production of 214,000 t/y. Finniss is the only major hard-rock lithium mine operating outside of Western Australia.
