According to Baosteel Desheng news, its cold rolling mill 1600HAPL unit moved to Shanghai stainless steel HAPL unit as a whole, mainly producing wide and thick specification products, mainly high-quality, medium-and high-grade stainless steel industrial plates; the products cover BN series, 300series and 400series, with an annual production scale of 800000 tons. The construction of the 1600HAPL unit officially began on October 8, 2019. The project overcame the adverse effects of the epidemic situation of novel coronavirus, poor geological conditions, upgrading and transformation of old equipment, and adhered to the policy of "protecting large nodes with small nodes" and the strategy of "promoting installation by debugging and ending by debugging". It took 14 months and successfully realized the thermal load commissioning on December 22nd, 2020.
It is reported that after a period of debugging and climbing, the equipment status, operation and quality level of the unit continue to stabilize, and the technical indicators of the unit have been greatly improved. In order to test the actual production capacity of the unit, the cold rolling mill began to organize and implement the monthly production capacity of the 1600HAPL unit in August 2021. The monthly output products cover 200 series, 300 series and 400 series, with thin materials accounting for the majority, especially when the power is limited for 80 hours in September, the output of the unit still exceeds the set target, and the rate of finished products, effective operation and first-grade products has reached a record high since it was put into production.
