[Shanghai: more than 470000 units of indemnificatory rental housing are planned to be added during the 14th five-year Plan period] on November 23, the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government held a press conference of the municipal government, which pointed out that during the 14th five-year Plan period, it is planned to build and raise more than 470000 units of indemnificatory rental housing (rooms). According to reports, during the 14th five-year Plan period, it is planned to build and raise more than 470000 units of indemnificatory rental housing, accounting for more than 40% of the total housing supply in the same period; by the end of the 14th five-year Plan, the city will build a total of more than 600000 units of indemnificatory rental housing.

On November 23, the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office held a municipal press conference, which pointed out that more than 470000 units of affordable rental housing are planned to be built and raised during the 14th five-year Plan period.

According to reports, during the 14th five-year Plan period, it is planned to build and raise more than 470000 units of indemnificatory rental housing, accounting for more than 40 percent of the total housing supply in the same period; by the end of the 14th five-year Plan, the city will build a total of more than 600000 units of affordable rental housing, of which about 400000 units (rooms) will form supply, alleviating the housing difficulties of new citizens and young people.

It is reported that Shanghai plans to build and raise 240000 units of indemnificatory rental housing from 2021 to 2022, accomplishing more than half of the total number of units targeted by the 14th five-year Plan.

Recently, Duocheng issued a policy on the development of indemnificatory rental housing. Prior to this, on November 7, during the 14th five-year Plan period, the average annual listing of new commercial housing in Nanjing was maintained at about 80,000 units, maintaining a steady supply of commercial housing. According to Tan Jian, director of Nanjing Housing Security and Real Estate Bureau, Nanjing will improve the supply of multi-level housing security and continue to supply public rental housing. During the 14th five-year Plan period, it is planned to raise no less than 125000 units of indemnificatory rental housing.

In addition, on November 8, the implementation opinion of the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial people's Government on speeding up the Development of indemnificatory Rental Housing was recently released, which defines the focus of development. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhanjiang are key cities for the development of indemnificatory rental housing. During the 14th five-year Plan period, Guangdong plans to raise 1.297 million sets. By the end of October, Guangdong province had raised 185600 units of indemnificatory rental housing, accounting for 83.5% of the target for 2021, benefiting more than 500000 people. On November 17, the Information Office of Shandong Provincial Government held a press conference to interpret the implementation opinions on speeding up the development of indemnificatory rental housing. In 2021, Shandong plans to start 74800 units of indemnificatory rental housing (rooms). At present, it has started construction of 74900 units (rooms).
