National Health Commission: there were 21 new confirmed cases and 8 imported cases yesterday.

From 0 to 24:00 on October 20, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps reported 21 new confirmed cases, according to the official website of the National Health Commission. There were 8 imported cases (6 in Shanghai, 1 in Henan and 1 in Guangdong), including 1 case changed from asymptomatic infection to confirmed case (in Henan), 13 local cases (5 in Gansu, 4 in Lanzhou, 1 in Zhangye, 4 in Ningxia, 2 in Wuzhong, 2 in Yinchuan and 2 in Inner Mongolia, all in Xilingol League. There were 2 cases in Hubei, both of which were directly under the administrative division of the county level, including 1 case changed from asymptomatic infection to confirmed case (in Gansu). There were no new deaths. There were no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 34 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital, 1300 people were in close contact with medical observation, and 1 case of severe case was less than that of the previous day.

There are 421 confirmed cases (no severe cases) and 1 suspected case imported from abroad. A total of 9459 cases were confirmed, 9038 cases were cured and discharged, and there were no deaths.

As of 24:00 on 20 October, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, there were 492 confirmed cases (no severe cases), 91494 cured and discharged cases, and 4636 deaths. A total of 96622 confirmed cases and 1 suspected case have been reported. A total of 1218545 close contacts were tracked and 22383 were still under medical observation.

27 new asymptomatic infections were reported in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, including 20 imported cases and 7 local cases (3 from Yunnan, all in Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture; 2 from Hebei, all in Xingtai City; 1 from Hunan, 1 in Changsha, 1 from Guizhou, 1 in Zunyi), and 2 confirmed cases on the same day (1 imported from abroad). On the same day, 9 cases were relieved of medical observation (6 cases were imported from abroad), and 372 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (352 cases were imported from abroad).

A total of 28729 confirmed cases have been reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, 12305 cases were discharged from the Hong Kong Special Administrative region (12003 cases were discharged and 213 died), 77 cases were discharged from the Macao Special Administrative region (66 cases were discharged) and 16347 cases were discharged from Taiwan (13742 cases were discharged and 846 cases died).
