[Bertre and Fusan Holdings plan to jointly invest 100000 tons of anode material precursor project] Betteri and Fusan Holdings plan to jointly build a production line with an annual output of 100000 tons of lithium battery anode material precursors and finished products, of which, the first phase of the project will produce 50, 000 tons of lithium battery anode material precursors and finished products, with a construction period of 12 months, and the total investment of the first phase of the project is expected to be 900 million yuan.

On the evening of August 31st, Bertre (835185) announced that the company plans to set up a joint venture with Sichuan Ruifu New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., to build an annual production line of 100000 tons of lithium battery anode materials precursors and finished products. The registered capital of the joint venture company is 300 million yuan, of which Beitri subscribes to contribute 153 million yuan, accounting for 51% of the total share capital of the joint venture company.

The project is planned to be built in two phases. The first phase of the project will produce 50,000 tons of lithium battery anode material precursors and finished product lines (covering the front-end processes of negative electrode, such as crushing, granulation, coating, and carbonization, screening, demagnetization, packaging, etc.). The construction period is 12 months, and the total investment of the first phase of the project is expected to be 900 million yuan.

The second phase of the project plans to increase the annual output of 50,000 tons of lithium battery anode material precursors and finished product lines (covering the front-end processes of negative materials such as crushing, granulation and coating, as well as the finished processes of negative materials such as carbonization, screening, demagnetization, packaging, etc.). The specific progress will be determined according to the market situation after the first phase is put into production.

The announcement shows that the first and second phases of the project do not build graphitization processes, and the total graphitization capacity required by the joint venture company is all responsible for the 100000 tons / year graphitization capacity required by Fusan Holdings, which is supplied by Tianquanfu Saddle carbon material Technology Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Fusan Holdings, and meets the acceptance standards of graphitized products of the joint venture company. Tianquanfu saddle has been put into production with a graphitization capacity of 20,000 tons per year, and the remaining 30,000 tons / year graphitization production line is expected to be completed and put into production in March 2022.

Bertre said that the company and Fusan Holdings jointly invested in the construction of lithium battery anode material precursors and product lines, mainly to combine each other's advantages in capital and graphitization capacity, to further enhance the company's future anode material production capacity to meet the market demand of downstream battery enterprises, and to increase the company's overall income in the future.

Battery network noted that in terms of negative material production capacity, according to the research report of Tianfeng Securities, Beitre has been the first negative electrode shipment in the world for many years in a row, and the production capacity is accelerating expansion. In 2020, the effective production capacity is 106000 tons, and it is estimated that the effective production capacity of rights and interests in 2021 / 2022 will reach 16 or 260000 tons.

On May 28, the Huizhou Beit New material Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bertre, officially put into production the project (phase II) of lithium anode materials with an annual output of 40,000 tons, effectively relieving the supply pressure of the company's anode materials; on June 18, Bertre (Sichuan) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beitre, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the project with an annual output of 50,000 tons of lithium-ion battery anode materials.

At the same time, by means of self-construction, joint venture and cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises, Bertre has increased the layout of positive and negative material production bases and production capacity construction in Tianjin, Yibin, Sichuan, Changzhou, Jiangsu, Binzhou, Shandong and other places to meet the future market demand of customers.

In terms of performance, Bertre achieved operating income of 4.207 billion yuan in the first half of the year, up 168.83% from the same period last year. Among them, the company sold 61856 tons of negative materials, with an operating income of 2.393 billion yuan, with sales and income up 131.46% and 98.54% respectively over the same period last year.

High-Grade NPI Smelter Profits Squeezed as Ore Prices Rise and Sales Prices Dip
[SMM Nickel Flash] Based on nickel ore prices from 25 days ago, smelter profits for high-grade NPI remained high this week. However, from the current raw material side, ore prices from both the Philippines and Indonesia increased, while auxiliary material prices saw a slight pullback, leading to an increase in the cash cost of producing high-grade NPI from spot ore. At the same time, high-grade NPI prices experienced some pullback, making it difficult for smelter profits to see sustained improvement.

High-Grade NPI Prices Fall, Expected to Stabilize as Chinese New Year Approaches
[SMM Nickel Flash] This week, due to a sharp decline in futures triggering arbitrage selling, high-grade NPI prices fell significantly. However, after the selling activity subsided, upstream quotations and the market center gradually returned to normal levels, supported by cost factors. Looking ahead, as the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, market activity is expected to remain subdued, and high-grade NPI prices are projected to hover at highs with limited fluctuations.
