At present, Jiangsu Cathay holding subsidiary Ruitai New material electrolyte production capacity is 70,000 tons / year (including Ningde Huarong's new production capacity, which is still in the climbing stage). Customers mainly include LG Chemistry, CATL, ATL, Panasonic and so on.

On the afternoon of July 14th, Jiangsu Cathay Pacific (002091) received more than a dozen institutions for on-the-spot research, during which the company answered and exchanged information on Ruitai's new materials business, current production capacity and so on.

Jiangsu Cathay said that according to the statistics of Yiwei Economic Research Institute, Ruitai New Materials, a holding subsidiary, is one of the leading domestic lithium-ion battery electrolyte companies, with shipments ranking in the top three, with a domestic market share of about 15% in 2019. The main products are lithium-ion battery electrolytes, silane coupling agents, lithium-ion battery electrolyte additives and superelectric products. Customers mainly include LG Chemistry, CATL, ATL, Panasonic and so on.

With the continuous development of the downstream new energy vehicle industry, the continuous enrichment of consumer battery application scenarios and the gradual opening of the energy storage battery market, the lithium-ion battery material industry is expected to continue to improve, and the market share is gradually concentrated to the leading enterprises.

At present, the total production capacity of Jiangsu Cathay Pacific electrolyte is 70,000 tons / year (including 40,000 tons of new production capacity of Ningde Huarong, which is still in the climbing stage), and the rest are projects under construction or proposed, which does not mean that the subsequent construction or actual operation of the project will be completed or the expected revenue can be obtained after actual operation.

In addition, Jiangsu Cathay Pacific responded to the progress of the company's Polish electrolyte project, Poland Huarong 40,000 tons / year lithium-ion power battery electrolyte project, due to the local court revoked the environmental approval issued by the regulatory authorities, currently can not continue to promote implementation, the company will continue to coordinate and communicate with local regulators, re-apply for environmental approval, or change the location of the raised funds investment project to continue to promote implementation; Poland Huarong's new Prusice 40,000 ton / year lithium-ion power battery electrolyte project has been issued by the Polish local government "Environmental conditions decision" (OS.6220.12.15.2019), in line with the local environmental protection requirements, infrastructure and public works supporting construction work is under way.

High-Grade NPI Smelter Profits Squeezed as Ore Prices Rise and Sales Prices Dip
[SMM Nickel Flash] Based on nickel ore prices from 25 days ago, smelter profits for high-grade NPI remained high this week. However, from the current raw material side, ore prices from both the Philippines and Indonesia increased, while auxiliary material prices saw a slight pullback, leading to an increase in the cash cost of producing high-grade NPI from spot ore. At the same time, high-grade NPI prices experienced some pullback, making it difficult for smelter profits to see sustained improvement.
