Tiran Group signs Nickel smelter Construction contract

According to recent reports, the Tiran Group has signed a contract for the construction of a nickel smelter worth 1.8 trillion rupiah. It is reported that the group will jointly sign a power purchase contract and a nickel smelter construction contract with the state power company (PLN).

Tiran Group will invest heavily in an industrial park based on a nickel smelter. In this incident, the construction of a production line smelter worth 1.8 trillion rupiah was signed. These include investment in supporting facilities and infrastructure such as water treatment, offices and dormitories, substations and other supporting facilities. The fourth line smelter will cover an area of about 50 hectares.

Sattar Taba, president of Tiran Group, said that as the first phase, Tiran Group will sign a contract for the construction of one of the four production line smelters worth 4.9 trillion rupiah between PT Andi Nurhadi Mandiri (ANDM) and Tonghua Jianxin Technology Co., Ltd.

Inventories of refined nickel in the Shanghai bonded areas fell this week, as shipments under bill of lading were delayed due to COVID-19 related lockdowns while there were flows from bonded areas to domestic markets.
