The VC (vinylidene carbonate) orders of some electrolyte additive manufacturers have been scheduled for the first half of 2022. According to the latest data released by the China Automobile Association, from January to May, the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries in China totaled 29.9 GWH, accounting for 50.3 percent of the total output, an increase of 360.7 percent over the same period last year. Market analysis shows that as the proportion of VC in lithium iron phosphate battery is much higher than that of ternary battery, the growth of production and marketing of lithium iron phosphate is expected to aggravate the shortage of VC supply.

Yongtai Technology said that Inner Mongolia Yongtai is building an annual production capacity of 3000 tons of FEC and 5000 tons of VC. According to the company's previous experience in other reconstruction projects, the reconstruction cycle is usually 2-3 months.
