On June 29, AVIC Lithium announced that the first phase of the company's Chengdu project had broken ground.

According to AVIC Lithium, the company's 50GWh power battery and energy storage battery Chengdu base project is a 10 billion-level project with the largest investment amount and the fastest advancing speed since the establishment of the Chengdu major industrialization project investment fund. It took only 68 days from docking to landing, and the contract was signed on the same day. On the same day, the project company was registered and established, only 31 days from the formal signing to the start of construction. At the same time, the project is also the company's first 20GWh project to start construction at the same time. In order to accelerate the realization of the company's production capacity, better serve the market, and lay a solid foundation for the achievement of customers.

It is reported that on April 22nd, AVIC Lithium and Chengdu Economic Development Zone signed a project cooperation framework agreement, and the two sides reached a consensus on AVIC lithium 50GWh power battery and energy storage battery Chengdu base project. The total investment of the project is 28 billion yuan, with an estimated annual output value of 40 billion yuan, and 13000 new jobs will be created. The project will be built in two phases, and the products will mainly support domestic and foreign new energy vehicles and energy storage markets and other application fields.

On May 29th, AVIC Lithium successfully signed a contract with Chengdu Economic Development Zone, and the Chengdu base project of AVIC Lithium 50GWh Power Battery and Energy Storage Battery was officially settled in Chengdu Economic Development Zone.

On the day when the first phase of the Chengdu project broke ground, AVIC Lithium Power also announced that the construction of the third phase of the Jiangsu project, which plans to increase the production capacity of 23GWh, began on February 26th, and on June 29th, the main plant of the project was successfully capped ahead of schedule, providing a strong guarantee for the steady and rapid progress of the follow-up project.

According to reports, since AVIC Lithium Power settled in Jintan in August 2015, it has successively built the first phase and second phase of the project, AVIC Lithium Power Research Institute and pilot base, and the 10 billion-level 25GWh Jiangsu Phase IV project was also signed on January 18.

AVIC Lithium said that the company is committed to building a global leader, and the implementation of the industrial layout has been accelerated since the beginning of this year. In 2021, the company will have a planned production capacity of 100GWh.It will reach 200GWhin 2022 and more than 300GWhduring the 14th five-year Plan period. at the same time, it will carry out the layout of overseas industries.

It is worth noting that, in addition to Chengdu and Jiangsu, AVIC Lithium reached a cooperation consensus with Xiamen Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone on the expansion of 30GWh power battery production in AVIC Lithium Xiamen base on May 9.

On May 31, AVIC Lithium Power and Wuhan Economic Development District signed the "AVIC Lithium Power Battery and Energy Storage Battery Wuhan Base Project Investment Agreement", AVIC Lithium officially settled in Central China. AVIC Lithium Power Wuhan base project plans to build a new production capacity of 20GWh. it is reported that the total investment of the project is 10 billion yuan, and the first phase investment is about 5 billion yuan.
