Northwest Aluminum accepts PED extension audit of Lloyd's Certification Center

From June 1 to 3, Lloyd's Certification Center audit experts came to Northwest Aluminum for PED expansion audit.

The purpose of this audit is to conduct product audit for new product alloys and specifications added by customers. At the meeting, the audit team leader confirmed the scope and purpose of the audit, made clear the basic arrangements for the audit, and emphasized the relevant requirements in the audit process. Zhang Wei, deputy general manager of Northwest Aluminum, introduced the operating situation of the enterprise and the corresponding customer requirements.

During the 3-day audit process, audit experts review the customer requirements, technical standards, production control and quality inspection of new products by means of on-site data review, communication and online witness. Through the audit and verification, the audit experts approved the overall operation of the products involved in the Northwest Aluminum PED system, but there were individual non-conformities in product traceability, technical document management and process changes, which required Northwest Aluminum to rectify within a time limit. Zhang Wei expressed thanks for the on-site guidance of the audit experts, and asked the relevant departments to implement their responsibilities for the proposed non-conformities and to complete the rectification and reform in quality and quantity within the required time limit.
