At the project signing ceremony, 18 intelligent new energy vehicle industry projects, including SAIC, Yanfeng Automobile, Magna, Liszt, Shanghai Inspection Center, landed in the new area of Hong Kong, covering vehicle, chip, self-driving system, interior, body, new materials, hydrogen fuel vehicle core parts and other fields, with a total investment of more than 16 billion yuan.
According to public data, the Shanghai Lingang automobile industry started in 2008, and after more than 10 years of development, it currently has a vehicle production capacity of 600000 vehicles, an engine capacity of 570000 units and more than 80 related enterprises. products include complete vehicles, engines, dashboards, seats, bumpers, airbags, chips, hydrogen fuel car parts and so on. Among them, the R brand of SAIC pure electric passenger car has been offline on a large scale in Lingang; Horizon has achieved mass production in front of China's first specification-grade AI chip; Tucson has been successfully listed on NASDAQ in the United States in the future, becoming the "first self-driving stock" in China; and Shanghai Research and Zhaopin has become a well-known third-party technical service platform for car testing and research.
In 2020, Shanghai completed the output of 2.6468 million vehicles, with an output value of 673.5 billion yuan. it is planned that by 2025, the output of new energy vehicles in the city will exceed 1.2 million, and the output value of new energy vehicles will exceed 350 billion yuan, accounting for more than 35% of the output value of the city's automobile manufacturing industry.
Among them, in 2020, intelligent new energy vehicle enterprises in Shanghai Lingang New area achieved an output value of 75.8 billion yuan, an increase of 141.6% over the same period last year, and will sprint 150 billion yuan in 2021, becoming the first industry in the new area to exceed the scale of 100 billion yuan.
The relevant person in charge of the High-tech Industry and Science and Technology Innovation Department of the Port Management Commission said that by 2025, the scale of the intelligent new energy vehicle industry in the new area is expected to exceed 200 billion yuan, sprint 300 billion yuan, and become an international automobile city with innovation agglomeration, complete functions and complete format.
