SHANGHAI, May 14 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces lost 0.79 percentage point from April 30 to 74.21% as of Friday May 14.

The lead-acid battery maker was still in a low season this week. Distributors purchased cautiously, and orders at battery makers weakened. Most of the producers took 1-7 days off during the Labour Day holiday in order to slow down the rise in finished product inventories, and lowered their scheduled production for May. Some of them cut output by 10-30% compared with April.
