The Trade Commission is reviewing the preliminary ruling of Judge ITC and is expected to announce the final decision of the case on Aug. 2. In 2019, LG Energy Solution filed four patent infringement lawsuits against ITC against SK.

Meanwhile, SK and LG Energy Solution are embroiled in another legal dispute. In April 2019, LG Energy Solution accused SK of stealing its trade secrets in the United States. In February, the U.S. International Trade Commission ((ITC)) ruled in favor of LG Chemistry, imposing a 10-year ban on the import of SK lithium-ion batteries.
