Silicon social inventories steadied at 80,000 mt this week

SHANGHAI, Jan 8 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port remained unchanged from the previous week at 80,000 mt as of Friday January 8, SMM data showed. 
Trades were quiet this week, but as it approaches to the Chinese New Year, some cargoes were shipped from producing areas to ports or other points of consumption. Silicon social inventories are unlikely to change greatly before the holiday.
