Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.43% in the week ended December 31, unchanged week on week.

SHANGHAI, Dec 31 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.43% in the week ended December 31, unchanged from the previous week.

Consumption of lead-acid batteries improved this week as the sharp fall in temperatures triggered optimism over demand from distributors. Medium and large-scale battery producers kept stable production as they need to stockpile before the Chinese New Year holiday. Most of the battery makers will operate as usual during the New Year’s Day holiday.
