SHANGHAI, Nov 27 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.59% in the week ended November 27, unchanged from the previous week.
End-user consumption of lead-acid batteries was moderate this week. Consumption of e-bike batteries entered a low season, with most of the distributors focusing on depleting existing inventories. Stocks at some battery makers built up, but they did not adjust production considering annual output and sales targets. Demand for automotive batteries from distributors improved, with large-scale battery makers continuing to operate at full capacity.
Large-scale battery producers are likely to keep stable production in December.
