Cerro Matoso (Cerro Matoso)

Cerro Matoso's nickel production increased by 3 per cent (or 0.3kt) in the third quarter to 10.0 kt as the plant continued to achieve higher plant utilization and productivity. The production guidance price for fiscal 2021 remains unchanged at 33.5kt, and the plant plans to significantly refurbish one of the furnaces in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Sales increased by 4% in the third quarter compared with the previous quarter. Ferronickel products are sold on the basis of L or M + 1 with reference to the LME Nickel Index and often attract product discounts.
