[Indonesia's Vedabe Industrial Park predicts that four nickel processing plants will be completed in 2021] (IWIP) of Indonesia's Vidabe Industrial Park Co., Ltd. expects to complete the construction of four nickel processing plants next year, with capacity doubling, an official said on Tuesday.

SMM: (IWIP) of Indonesia's Weidabe Industrial Park Co., Ltd. is expected to complete the construction of four nickel processing plants next year, which will double its production capacity, an official said on Tuesday.

Indonesia Weidabe Industrial Park Co., Ltd. (IWIP) is the second industrial park built by Castle Peak after the Morowali Industrial Park in Indonesia. Weidabe Industrial Park will become the first comprehensive utilization of nickel resources in the world, ranging from laterite nickel ore to nickel intermediate products to stainless steel and new energy battery materials.

"the current capacity is 110000 tons per year and will double next year," said an official at the park. "

IWIP did not immediately respond to comment on the plant's schedule and estimated production.

The official declined to name the investors in the new factory.

Three smelters have been put into operation in the park this year.

IWIP's project on Hama Hera Island is one of the Indonesian government's "national priorities" to promote domestic nickel processing after Indonesia stopped exporting unprocessed nickel mines.

Indonesia, the world's largest exporter of nickel before the ban, is seeking to establish a complete nickel supply chain at home.
