Yunnan: 200000 new charging piles by the end of 2021

Published: Sep 15, 2020 09:45

SMM News: a few days ago, the Yunnan Energy Bureau issued the "Yunnan Energy Bureau on doing a good job in 2020-2022 charging infrastructure construction notice" (referred to as the "notice"). According to the notice, Yunnan plans to build 200000 charging piles (including private charging piles) by the end of 2021; among them, 10, 000 public charging piles are planned to be built throughout the province in 2020 and 16000 in 2021.

In addition to charging piles, Yunnan also plans to build 14 replacement power stations in 2020 and 26 in 2021, of which Kunming is the focus of construction, undertaking 11 replacement power stations in 2020 and 13 in 2021.

As far as the cities are concerned, Kunming has the heaviest task, and it needs to complete the construction of 78000 charging piles within two years, including 10, 000 public charging piles. It can be seen that the number of charging piles and replacement power stations planned in Kunming is much higher than that in other areas.

Editor's comments:

At present, Yunnan is actively supporting the development of new energy vehicles in response to the national policy, which has achieved initial results. Public information shows that by the end of 2019, the number of new energy vehicles in Yunnan Province exceeded 50,000, of which passenger vehicles accounted for more than 50 percent, and more than 60,000 charging piles of various types were built in the province. The vehicle-to-pile ratio is higher than 1 / 1, and with the landing of the new charging pile construction target, it is believed that the promotion of new energy vehicles in Yunnan will gradually increase.

In addition to the construction of charging infrastructure, Yunnan also gives a variety of invisible benefits to new energy vehicles. For example, starting from 2020, parking spaces delivered or newly built in residential areas are required to install charging piles or reserve installation conditions for electrification. No less than 10% of parking spaces need to build charging piles as a condition for planning and acceptance of new residential areas. By the end of 2022, parking lots (spots) invested by the government or government platform companies will be free of parking fees for new energy vehicles within 2 hours.
