[Foster: plans to invest 1.02 billion yuan to expand the production capacity of photovoltaic film and photovoltaic backplane] on September 8, Foster announced that the company plans to further expand the production capacity of photovoltaic film and photovoltaic backplane, and decided to invest in projects with an annual production capacity of 250 million square meters of photovoltaic film and 110 million square meters of photovoltaic backplane through self-raised funds. The above projects are implemented by a wholly-owned subsidiary set up by the company in Jiaxing Economic and technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 1.02 billion yuan.

SMM: on Sept. 8, Foster announced that the company plans to further expand the production capacity of photovoltaic film and photovoltaic backplane, and decided to invest in the project with an annual output of 250 million square meters of photovoltaic film and 110 million square meters of photovoltaic backplane through self-raised funds. The above project is implemented by a wholly-owned subsidiary set up by the company in Jiaxing Economic and technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 1.02 billion yuan.

Suzhou officially launched its 2026 subsidy policy for new car purchases. From March 21 to June 30, individual consumers who purchase new passenger vehicles from participating automobile dealership enterprises in Suzhou will receive subsidies in accordance with the relevant standards (operating vehicles and vehicles with public license plates are not eligible). For vehicle prices from 50,000 yuan (inclusive) to 100,000 yuan (exclusive), the subsidy is 1,000 yuan for internal combustion engine vehicles and 2,000 yuan for new energy vehicles; for vehicle prices from 100,000 yuan (inclusive) to 200,000 yuan (exclusive), the subsidy is 3,000 yuan for internal combustion engine vehicles and 4,000 yuan for new energy vehicles; for vehicle prices from 200,000 yuan (inclusive) to 400,000 yuan (exclusive), the subsidy is 5,000 yuan for internal combustion engine vehicles and 6,000 yuan for new energy vehicles; for vehicle prices of 400,000 yuan (inclusive) and above, the subsidy is 6,000 yuan for internal combustion engine vehicles and 7,000 yuan for new energy vehicles. “Su Zhou Dao” APP car purchase subsidy application platform (expected to go online in late April)

According to a March 21 report by the Nikkei website, Japanese automakers' total global vehicle sales in 2025 edged down to about 25 million units, falling from the top spot for the first time since 2000. Chinese automakers' total global sales reached nearly 27 million units last year, surpassing Japan and ranking first in the world for the first time. The Nikkei website reached the above conclusion based on statistics compiled from data released by various automakers and survey data from the global automotive information platform MarkLines. According to the report, BYD's sales surpassed Ford's in 2025, ranking sixth globally; Geely Automobile's sales exceeded Honda's, placing eighth. In the battery EV segment, BYD overtook the US EV brand Tesla to become the global leader. In the ranking of the world's top 20 automakers by global sales, six Chinese automakers made the list, more than Japan's five. Chery, Changan, SAIC, and Great Wall were among them.
