Industry and company trends: Mei Texin material said that at present, there are few enterprises mainly engaged in cobalt tetroxide, and the market concentration is relatively high. It is estimated that the output of cobalt tetroxide this year is 62000-63000 tons.
Finally, the two sides discussed the development status and future trends of cobalt, cathode materials, batteries and new energy industries, and conducted in-depth exchanges on the strategic cooperation between the two sides.
On the whole, the epidemic will affect the price trend of cobalt and lithium to a certain extent, so what is the price of cobalt and lithium in the future? SMM believes that in terms of cobalt, the price gap at home and abroad has narrowed recently, although the overall demand for battery materials downstream has increased, it is expected that the fourth quarter will enter the off-season of digital 3C procurement, battery and terminal industry inventory is the highest, cobalt prices will continue to be under pressure or will slowly decline, but the downward space is limited.
In terms of lithium, the compound growth rate of China's new energy vehicle production will be 30% in the next 10 years, and the proportion of new energy passenger vehicles will reach 94% in 2030. Ternary battery is the main type of battery in new energy passenger vehicles, and the process of high nickelization in China will be accelerated in the next 10 years. SMM believes that the removal effect of lithium ore is remarkable, smelting products and domestic ore stocks still need time to digest, and the global lithium raw materials may achieve a balance between supply and demand in 2022.
