Tesla speed up the production and shorten the delivery time of Model Y to 2-4 weeks.

SMM: according to Tesla's official website, the delivery time of, Model Y models has been shortened from 4-6 weeks to 2-4 weeks. This means that North American customers will be able to receive their car orders by the end of the third quarter.

According to media reports, the acceleration of Tesla's production is related to the casting machine that was recently put into use at the Fremont plant. Tesla China released information on the production of Model Y in the media on Aug. 24, in which a statement said that the huge casting machine had been put into use at the Fremont plant. At the same time, the installation of the GA 4.5 production line dedicated to the production of Model Y models has been completed in this factory.

While accelerating the delivery of the Model Y model, the delivery time of the Model 3 in North America is also 2-4 weeks. The reduction in production time for Model 3 can also be partly attributed to the new independent assembly line of Model Y, as the production of Model Y now does not occupy the Model 3 production line.

The delivery time for, Model S and Model X varies from 5 to 14 weeks depending on the region. New car owners can expect to get their cars in the fourth quarter.

Media said Tesla continued to improve his car manufacturing capacity and further shorten the delivery time. If the super factories in Shanghai and Berlin start producing Model Y, Tesla's logistics burden will be greatly reduced. The Model Y is one of the most popular models in the world. As the delivery time of Tesla cars, especially Model Y, is shortened, Tesla's sales are likely to soar further.
