China has always adhered to non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries. For many years, Chinese embassies and consulates in the United States, including the Consulate General in Houston, have always performed their duties in the United States in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, and have been committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States. to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. The relevant allegations made by the US side are groundless and are pure nonsense, and the excuses used are far-fetched and totally untenable. It can be said that "if you want to add to the crime, there is no excuse."

Speaking of reciprocity, China facilitates the performance of the duties of US diplomatic agencies and personnel in China in accordance with the Vienna Convention on diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. On the other hand, the US side imposed restrictions on Chinese diplomats stationed in the United States for no reason in October last year and June this year, privately opened China's diplomatic pouch many times and seized Chinese official supplies. As a result of the recent wanton stigmatization and incitement of hatred by the US side, the Chinese Embassy in the United States has recently received more than one threat to the safety of Chinese diplomatic agencies and personnel in the United States.

At the same time, in terms of the number of Chinese and US embassies and consulates in each other's countries and the number of diplomatic and consular personnel, the United States is far more than China. The United States should not lift a stone and drop it on its own feet.

The Chinese side urges the United States to immediately reverse the relevant erroneous decision. Otherwise, China will certainly make a proper and necessary response.
