SHANGHAI, Jul 3 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 53.4% in the week ended July 3, up 3 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.
The average operating rates in Henan and Jiangsu remained unchanged at 50.9% and 53.3%, respectively, as smelters there were still grappling with battery scrap shortages.
Anhui Dahua ramped up its operations to nearly full capacity, which lifted the average operating rate for the region by 3.2 percentage points to 48.4%.
The average operating rate in Guizhou jumped 10.5 percentage points to 67% as Xinkaida recovered from maintenance.
