According to the latest customs data, in May 2020, China's imports of nickel wet smelting intermediates totaled 34200 tons, up 25500 tons from the previous month, an increase of 296% from the previous month, and an increase of 228% over the same period last year. The increase in imports of nickel wet intermediates in May was mainly due to the fact that Papua New Guinea had no import data due to the extension of the isolation period due to the epidemic in April. after the extension to May, the import volume of nickel wet intermediates in Papua New Guinea was 28400 tons in May, accounting for 83% of the total imports of nickel wet intermediates in May. In addition, the import quantity of Finnish nickel wet intermediates was 0 in May. According to SMM research, Finnish nickel wet intermediates were shipped normally, or delayed due to customs declaration problems, and follow up the Finnish imports in June.
