SHANGHAI, Jun 24 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 63.42% between June 22-24, unchanged from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

As for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday which begins on Thursday June 25, some producers plan to suspend production for up to three days, which will affect battery output.

The upcoming month of July is a low season for batteries used in automobiles, while consumption of electric bike batteries is expected to improve, which will help deplete inventories at distributors before at least mid-July.
