COVID-19 global disruption: Production update on global copper miners, smelters
The global widespread of COVID-19 has forced many countries to enforce stringent containment measures which result in a heavy impact on global economic activity. Over the past few months, we saw serious disruption of manpower, transportation and production in China. We are now seeing these scenarios happening around the world.
SHANGHAI, Jun 23 (SMM) – The global widespread of COVID-19 has forced many countries to enforce stringent containment measures which result in a heavy impact on global economic activity. Over the past few months, we saw serious disruption of manpower, transportation and production in China. We are now seeing these scenarios happening around the world.
As the pandemic worsens globally, miners across the world have implemented production reduction or temporarily suspended their operations.
Please find below the latest survey on the production status of global copper miners and smelters, an update from a release on April 9.
