SHANGHAI, Jun 18 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China declined this week as shipments from warehouses increased while arrivals were limited.
SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across the five major consumption areas – Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang – in China fell 2,500 mt in the week ended June 18 to 71,500 mt, after a build of 900 mt in the previous week.
Inventories in Foshan dropped the most this week, while inventories in Wuxi and Nanchang edged higher. Stocks in Changzhou and Huzhou were little changed.
