SMM is glad to announce the 15th China International Copper Industry Chain Conference 2020 will be held on July 16-17 in Shanghai, China.

Structural contradictions of China’s copper smelting sector have intensified overcapacity woes, heightened reliance on imported ore and boosted environmental pressure.

SMM is glad to announce the 15th China International Copper Industry Chain Conference 2020 will be held on July 16-17 in Shanghai, China.

Due to the current international travel restrictions and the self-quarantine issues, SMM will bring to you our live online broadcast of the Conference, which you can participate from the comfort of your home or workplace.

You will have access to the in-depth analysis of the copper market and updates from the downstream sectors with 700+ delegates in China, with 15+ presentations available via online web broadcast.

The following trending topics discussed during the conference:

  1. Copper consumption in the 5G market and its current state of development
  2. The rising concern of sulphuric acid in 2020- The key barrier for smelters operations?
  3. Will copper prices see any chance of a rebound in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic has dragged prices to record low levels?
  4. What opportunities will the copper scrap industry embrace after the implementation of secondary copper new standards in 2020?
  5. How will the plunge in copper prices impact the copper processing industry?
  6. Will the construction of ‘new infrastructure’ ultra-high-voltage projects lift copper consumption in 2020?
  7. Will the NEV market gain momentum on the back of two-year extension of NEV subsidy and tax incentive policies and stepped-up investment in charging piles?

Speakers from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Renewable Resources Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (CIAR), China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association, Shanghai Metals Market, Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd and many more will share their insight on above-mentioned topics.
