SHANGHAI, May 6 (SMM) – Fengnan district, Qianxi county and Zunhua city, which are located in or administered by Tangshan—China’s top steelmaking hub—have issued their anti-air pollution production curb plans for May.
For steelmakers, Ruifeng, Donghua, Kaiheng, Jing’an in Fengnan district, Jinxi in Qian’an county and Ganglu and Jianlong in Zunhua city are required to curb capacity of some facilities by different extent for different periods.
SMM learned that those steel mills did not comply with the curbs, however.
Coking plants, brick-tile kilns, tunnel kilns and lime kilns are also targeted by the production curb plans.
