China’s metals export and import data for March

China’s customs administration has released March import and export data for nonferrous metals products, which could provide some cues and a sneak peak into the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown to businesses.

SHANGHAI, Apr 28 (SMM) – China’s customs administration has released March import and export data for nonferrous metals products, which could provide some cues and a sneak peak into the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown to businesses.

 

In dollar-denominated terms, China’s exports fell 6.6% in March from a year ago, while imports slipped 0.9%, the General Administration of Customs said earlier this month.

 

The administration also reported that the country’s exports dropped 13.3% year on year in the first three months of 2020, while imports fell 2.9%.
