SMM4, March 26: a few days ago, the Brazilian Iron and Steel Association said that Brazilian flat steel sales fell 15.2% in March from a year earlier, down 6.8% from the previous month to 265300 tons.

In March, traders' stocks of flat steel were 846900 tons, an increase of 0.9 per cent over the previous month. Imports of flat steel were 58500 tons, down 52.4 percent from a year earlier and 9.6 percent from the previous month.

The Brazilian Iron and Steel sales Association did not give a specific reason for the decline in sales, which the industry believes is mainly due to the decline in demand caused by the epidemic.
