Total Anglo American copper production in the first quarter of 2020 was 9 per cent lower than that of the same period last year

SMM4, March 23: Anglo-American group (Anglo American) today released its first quarter 2020 report, during which the company produced 147000 tons of copper, down 9 percent from a year earlier, and 10900 tons of nickel, up 11 percent from a year earlier. The copper production target for 2020 (62-670000 tons) remains unchanged.

Copper production at Chile's Collahuasi copper mine rose 16 per cent from a year earlier, while metallurgical coal production fell 8 per cent to 3.8 million tonnes from a year earlier.
